Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

Greetings from St. John

We are now on Day 4 of our vacation and really enjoying ourselves. It has been quite warm but it just means that we spend lots of time in the ocean. Keaton has been wonderful, he loves the ocean and being outside all of the time. His hair has gotten really curly from the humidity and it is so cute. We have had quite the driving experience since you drive on the left hand side, not to mention VERY narrow roads with curves so sharp you can hardly believe it. We will bring home video to show you all. Here are some photos, sorry they are so small, it takes a long time to upload and we want to put quite a few up!

The airplane trip(s) were quite easy and exciting, he slept for all but one take-off!

The view from our house and the local sights.

The first time in the sand and the ocean! Keaton loves it except there is something seriously wrong with the water.... it tastes really yucky!

As you can tell we are having fun! Hopefully we will get some more photos up in a few days!

Playtime

Playing with Daddy is my favorite thing to do every evening.

Showing my friend Damion how my favorite toy works.

Look what I can do! If mommy and daddy sit me up in my crib,
I can pull myself up to look over the edge. Looks like it is time to lower the mattress!

Just seeing what it will feel like to crawl. I am going to try keeping mommy a little bit busier pretty soon, it is getting to easy for her to keep up with me!

Our little drummer boy...

Keaton has a new favorite pastime.

It is so noisy that he has to close his eyes each time it bangs!

Straight from the Heart

This is just a little something that has meant a lot to us.

~Adoption~
Once there were two women
Who never knew each other.
One you do not remember
The other you call Mother.
One became your guiding star,
The other became your sun.
The first gave you life
And the second taught you to live it.
The first gave you a need for love
And the second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality,
The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of a talent
The other gave you an aim.
One gave you emotions,
The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile,
The other dried your tears.
One gave you up -- It was all she could do.
The other prayed for a child
And God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears,
The age old questions through the years,
Heredity or Environment --
Which are you the product of?
Neither our darling, neither
Just two different kinds of love.
