Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

And we are off...

Tonight Keaton learned how to stand up in the middle of the floor. He did it once yesterday without even knowing what he was doing. Today I realized that every time I would tell him to stand up he knew what it meant so he would crawl to the nearest object stand and walk. Tonight he realized he could do it all by himself! So.... he is off and probably soon to be running!

Practice makes Perfect

This walking thing is lots of fun! I got a new rug burn on my nose from falling but I sure think that I am cool now that I can walk! Of course crawling is still the fastest way to get from here to there but I am sure that walking will quickly become the preferred mode of travel.
Yikes, got going a little too fast!
Mommy and Daddy were clapping and so I thought that I would try it out too.... while walking!

These feet were made for walking!

I decided that because Mommy was getting impatient I had better start walking! We were over at some friends house for dinner and so he saw Brittyn walking and it just kind of clicked. Then we came home and Nana was here so we were going to show her how he was finally slowing down enough to take 8 steps or so and then all of the sudden he looked down at his feet and it clicked!!! He walked across the living room! For weeks now we have been saying any time now, as soon as he sets his mind to it. In fact even this evening we showed Nana a few steps and we asked if she thought that he would be walking by the end of the week.... he must have heard us talking and decided that he would show us now that he could! Here is some cute video footage...

New Meadows

We went up to New Meadows with Uncle Tom and Aunt Shanna and Uncle Todd and Aunt Krystal after Thanksgiving!
Playing with Auntie Shanna.
Being my usual goofy self!

I figured out that I could turn over the Lego box and use it to stand on! I was quite proud of myself!

My first time in the snow! There was just a little bit so Mommy had me play in it before we left.

Hmmmm how does it taste?!?
Pointing at Daddy. He loves to point at everything now!

MMmmmm we got some dirt with the last bite of snow!
See look Mom!
Mommy made me my first snowball!!!

Mommy had to finally drag me inside because my nose was red. I loved playing in it!

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with Mommy's family this year! It was a wonderful day, I loved the stuffing and mashed potatoes!
Playing a very serious game of rook with Uncle Mark.

Jumping on the couch with Uncle Derek.
Daddy (This is no ordinary housewife you're dealing with) slicing the turkey!
Playing a VERY pretty song for everyone.
I played with Leah for a long time! She knows sign language just like me!
I discovered how much fun it was to sit on the stool all by myself and play!

Walk Down Memory Lane

Happy Thanksgiving! We were just looking and thinking back to one year ago and how much Keaton has changed! He was in Preemie clothes still..... can't believe it!
Keaton and wonderful Auntie Dawnita!

Lots has changed but one thing that hasn't is that we have lots to be thankful for!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hello Daddy!

Mommy found Keaton "talking" on his phone today. I told him to call Daddy and his face lit up and he held the phone to his ear at talked to Daddy! Looks like he has seen me talk on the phone quite a bit!!

On a side note, Keaton has broke through one molar and is working on the other three. He is also signing the following consistently: eat, drink, milk, more, hat, sleep, pacifier (his own little sign that we just figured out), up or hold me, please, and thank-you. Almost all of these are unprompted, when he wants something to eat he will say eat and then please. The other day he said "all done, eat, please" I couldn't figure out what he was saying until I realized that he was telling me he was "all done eating please"! We have one smart cookie! On the walking bit... he is soooo close. He takes up to 4 steps at a time but thinks that he has to hold onto your hand for anymore. As soon as he sets his mind to it he will be off and running... literally.... he already tries!

Monkey Crawl

Keaton has apparently become bored with crawling so in order to make life a little more interesting we often see him now motoring about like this...

Sorry for how short it is... we got a really good long video but it is on the video camera and I haven't taken it off yet. This gives you a little idea though.

Toy Box

Daddy got Mommy and I a new toy box while we were in Texas! I discovered today that the best way to play with my toys is while sitting inside! Only negative thing is, of course...... I can't get out by myself!

Texas Trip

Mommy and I just got back from spending a week in Texas visiting Leslie, Davina and Landon and Lillie. Mommy is really good friends with Davina so we went to visit. I took to Landon and Lillie really fast and I have new friends!
In deep discussion probably planning on how to get into mischief this time.
13 Months old!
I don't know about all this country stuff....
Our little cowboy.
We had to get a photo in Landon's hat because the first thing Daddy asked Mommy when we got down there is if I had a ten gallon hat yet!
As soon as we got there Landon gave me a ride on his "cycle" and we rode around for hours!
Lillie followed us around.
Bath time! Lillie wasn't to sure about being squished between two boys.
Fast friends ready for Wednesday night meeting.

Landon is 2 1/2.
Wall to wall car seats and tuckered out kids!
This is a new face that I do all the time. I learned out to point so everything is this face and showing anyone who will watch.
I would have spent all day on the slide if Mommy would have let me.

My first up-close look at a cow! It was VERY exciting.
This bench was perfect for the climber that I am!

Playing together. Notice Landon's attire... boots and a diaper!

Watching Leslie grill.
Lillie and her Mommy.
It was so nice to spend lots of time together, we wish they lived closer.

Landon looks terrified but they really did have a great time.
Our first kiss! Much to Leslie's dismay his baby girl kissed a boy!!
Lillie is only 5 weeks older than me so we enjoyed all of the same things.
Playing in the hotel before we left.
"Hi"

While I was gone I took some more steps and I like to stand up for a long time by myself.
Us boys in our shark pj's.
I followed Landon everywhere and loved playing with him. The feeling was mutual because when I wasn't following him then this is what Mommy and Davina would see.

Lillie joining in on the fun.

The trip down and back went great. Keaton slept on all of the flights.
During our layovers I discovered that I could climb into my stroller all by myself so this was the greatest source of entertainment.
I was soooo excited to be home and see Daddy! Daddy got me my own little guitar and I love it.
I had a great day today playing with all of my toys again and discovering what else I can climb on!
