Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

Droopy!

Keaton has a new nickname, "Droopy"! I will back up a little bit... you probably didn't notice but in his 18 month photos we didn't have our smiley boy present. Part of this was he kept giving us a lopsided smile that was funny. We didn't think anything of it until we headed up to Montana. We were almost to Twin Falls when he started crying and he was only crying with half of his face..... scary let me tell you. We pulled off and went to the Emergency room... as it turns out our little boy has Bells Palsy. This is a strand of the Chicken Pox virus that causes paralysis in half of the face. It can also be caused after someone has RSV which he had a couple of weeks ago, so in combination with that and then the chicken pox vaccination for 18 months and there you go. It is VERY rare in children. We should be able to expect full recovery in about 2 weeks if all goes well. He is back on Prelone (Prednisone) for a week though. Anyways after a scare and about 3 hours in the ER we got back on the road with some meds.
Tuckered out little boy that had to have both of his balls plus Grandma's hand to fall asleep.
Needless to say here is our droopy little boy!
Trying to lick Daddy!
Making sure that we got EVERYTHING out of the box!
New basketball hoop for the motel room that Keaton LOVES!
This was this morning..... yes lots of snow!

Getting daring and trying out his balance.
We just love these little faces that he can make now! It is quite entertaining and now that he knows it he plays it up.
Kissing the "col" (cold) window! He keeps looking outside and going "brr col".
Having a seat.

This photo is for his rock climbing uncle Derek. He is practicing for you!

One and a Half

Oh no... not MORE pictures Mom!!

Belly button!

We tried to take a few fishing photos for his room. We have a few but will probably do some more when it gets a little bit greener outside.

It is getting harder and harder to get photos taken of him outside because he has his own agenda! We can't believe that he is already 1 1/2... time sure flies when you are chasing a ball of energy.... that by the way is getting even faster on his little feet!
We leave today for Montana. We are hoping to have at least a few days with our little girls family before she comes. We will keep you updated, we are getting close and excited as you can tell!!!

Birthday Time

We celebrated Mommy, Uncle Ryan, Uncle Derek and Great Grandma's birthday last night! We are going to be gone for all of them getting my little sister so we celebrated early.
I had lots of fun at Nana and Papa's house with all my uncles around.

I discovered that my fingers can touch behind my back so now everywhere I walk I have my hands behind my back.
Reading books is my favorite thing to do.

Bareback Horse Races!
Me and my uncles being goofy.

Climbing!

He has now figured out how to climb into his bed! Which in a way is really nice... however he has also figured out that he can climb out and play and then climb back in when he hears us coming. Needless to say it has been a little bit harder to get him to go to sleep lately!

Basketball

Keaton played basketball outside at Grandma and Grandpa's house for hours yesterday. Daddy would help him jump REALLY high to shoot the ball.
"askaball"

High Expectations.
Helping Daddy fish in the pond.
We keep forgetting to post that he says "Scary" or "Scare" now! He will run around the corner and instead of saying boo he will holler SCARE! Also anytime anything is the slightest bit startling it is Scary!!

Happy Camper

Now that our boy is back to 100% we have had a wonderful last few days!
Now that is my kind of puppy dog!
We helped Papa celebrate his birthday this past weekend.
When asked to help blow out the last candle he thought that he should blow it out with his nose. You can tell that he had been sick so we taught him how to blow his nose!
No more eating with the hands. All of the sudden he HAS to feed himself EVERYTHING with utensils. Even birthday cake... gone are the cute messy cake moments.... maybe!
My boys! I think Daddy has as much fun as Keaton on his little gym!
