Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

Update!

Tomorrow is the big day!!! They are going to induce sometime tomorrow hopefully before early afternoon! We will post as soon as we get out of the hospital.
We are all very very excited to have it finally here. Poor girl has been walking around dilated to 6 cm since Wednesday at noon... no wonder she has pretty short labors!! We have one stubborn little girl apparently.
Can't wait to introduce our new addition!

Just Playin'

We have been having lots of fun in the 80 degree weather these last few days. Keaton has definitely been needing those baths at night after playing so much in the dirt.
Keaton learned how to blow bubbles himself!
Eating popcorn and lounging with Daddy and Mommy.
The smile is lots better as you can tell. His eye is still a bit droopy and doesn't squint as much but he is definitely doing better.
Trying out those muscles at Lake Elmo today.
Throwing LOTS of rocks.
Daddy proving that you don't have to be little to enjoy throwing rocks into a Lake!

Daddy showing Keaton how to throw REALLY BIG rocks!

He decided to stick to the little rocks!
Giving Mommy lots of kisses.

Wishing for a Sister

We took him to a mall today to get out some energy! There was a fountain in the middle that he threw a penny into. Wishing for a baby sister...
New words this week: "wawa" water "cuse me" excuse me "memo" Elmo "ama" Grandma "sshhhh" shhhhh "cacar" truck "kickle kickle" tickle tickle "bubba" bubbles "goon" gone and he has said Keaton a couple of times also.
Animal sounds that he knows: Cow, Owl, Monkey, Cat, Dog, Horse, Pig, Rabbit (sniff sniff), Bear.

New little actions: He shhh's us in mtg if we make any noises and will shake his finger at us if we do anything that he doesn't think is good.

He now will repeat anything we say. Just in the last week it is amazing how many things he will now just say.

Just Waiting.....

We are still just waiting..... here are a few photos of our last few days.
Feeding the ducks.

The people in the room below us really don't like us because Keaton keeps running around our room! What can you really do about it with a cooped up, bored, 1 and a half year old though!?!?
Chasing "babbles" (bubbles).

Mommy's birthday dinner! The smile is getting a little bit better each day which is good.

Trying out Nana's glasses!

Birthday cake!
Nana helped Keaton to discover whipping cream!

Brushing teeth and getting a story read by Grandma.
Keaton has been LOVING having both Grandma and Nana here to spoil him. He is going to have withdrawals once we get home! On the Bell's Palsy note, we took him into the doctor again and they took him off of the Prednisone because he wasn't napping at all while on it and it didn't have any real proven advantages. He is still doing better even not being on it and he also has been a lot happier and napping both of which have been so nice.

Droopy!

Keaton has a new nickname, "Droopy"! I will back up a little bit... you probably didn't notice but in his 18 month photos we didn't have our smiley boy present. Part of this was he kept giving us a lopsided smile that was funny. We didn't think anything of it until we headed up to Montana. We were almost to Twin Falls when he started crying and he was only crying with half of his face..... scary let me tell you. We pulled off and went to the Emergency room... as it turns out our little boy has Bells Palsy. This is a strand of the Chicken Pox virus that causes paralysis in half of the face. It can also be caused after someone has RSV which he had a couple of weeks ago, so in combination with that and then the chicken pox vaccination for 18 months and there you go. It is VERY rare in children. We should be able to expect full recovery in about 2 weeks if all goes well. He is back on Prelone (Prednisone) for a week though. Anyways after a scare and about 3 hours in the ER we got back on the road with some meds.
Tuckered out little boy that had to have both of his balls plus Grandma's hand to fall asleep.
Needless to say here is our droopy little boy!
Trying to lick Daddy!
Making sure that we got EVERYTHING out of the box!
New basketball hoop for the motel room that Keaton LOVES!
This was this morning..... yes lots of snow!

Getting daring and trying out his balance.
We just love these little faces that he can make now! It is quite entertaining and now that he knows it he plays it up.
Kissing the "col" (cold) window! He keeps looking outside and going "brr col".
Having a seat.

This photo is for his rock climbing uncle Derek. He is practicing for you!

One and a Half

Oh no... not MORE pictures Mom!!

Belly button!

We tried to take a few fishing photos for his room. We have a few but will probably do some more when it gets a little bit greener outside.

It is getting harder and harder to get photos taken of him outside because he has his own agenda! We can't believe that he is already 1 1/2... time sure flies when you are chasing a ball of energy.... that by the way is getting even faster on his little feet!
We leave today for Montana. We are hoping to have at least a few days with our little girls family before she comes. We will keep you updated, we are getting close and excited as you can tell!!!
