Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

Acrobatics

This ball will keep him occupied for hours... ok not quite but at least a half hour a couple times a day. He rolls it around in the dining room and creates his own obstacle course. The smaller the opening the better. He is always finding little areas to see if he will fit through, then starts hollering when he gets stuck or frustrated. The problem lies in that he has no reverse so if he gets himself half-way through he won't just back out! On a side note, he has also discovered that he can spit on the wood floor and then have a puddle to play in! Oh joys of boys! Also, we have a stack of board books for him to play with on the bookshelf. He was being quiet for a while which is never a good thing so I went out to see what he was doing only to discover that he was chewing through the board book cover!!! He has eaten his way halfway through the cover in 2 spots and was working on a third! I promise we do feed him... something tells me he is teething! From here he doesn't grab the ball and get out, he proceeds in climbing OVER the table leg.
It isn't about the easiest or the fastest way to get the ball, more like the most challenging and fun! He spent 10 minutes trying to get through this chair.
He kept running into (literally) the problem of the wood piece on the back of the chair. His eyes were under it so therefore he should be able to push his way through.
Here are a couple of video clips of examples of how he spends his time.
