Our Little One

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

WEEKEND!!

Weekends are the best! I love how Keaton lights up to see Daddy home on Saturday and Sunday morning! It is so cute how hyper he gets just because he knows he gets to spend the day with his Daddy. Daddy pretty much has another little shadow all weekend and they both love every minute of it!
Yesterday we went over to have lunch with Daddy and we stopped by Nana and Papa's house for a while to play with Abby (their dog). They did so good together and will be quite the pals come summer. They followed each other around for quite a while. If Abby was sniffing something then as soon as she would leave, Keaton would have to go check it out and sniff it to see what the big deal was!

When Abby got to close Keaton would close his eyes and not move preparing for random "kisses".

This is the look that I see 8 to 10 times a day! Notice he is holding a book... his favorite book... 5 little monkeys! We have to read this so many times a day we often loose count. He knows exactly what happens on each page and when they fall off the bed and bonk their heads he bonks his own head and says "ooooaffff"! He has now learned that there are actually stories in the books that he reads so he will either read them out loud or ask us to. He takes us by the hand and leads us to the couch and says "eease" (please).

Daddy taking over the reading! (another reason we LOVE weekends) We keep trying to expand his horizon with the books but this is definitely his favorite.

Some other things that he is doing:

Keaton has figured out that he can close his eyes to play peek-a-boo! This has developed into closing his eyes when we ask him to do something he doesn't want to. Seems that if he can't see us then he doesn't have to obey!!

Says "cussse" for Excuse me while signing it also. "eeeease" for Please. "beb" for Baby. "ook" for Book. "cracka" for cracker. He also learned the sign for bird. "ess" for yes.

Favorite word: "Yeah" You can tell that I talk to him ALL day long so he just says "yeah" to say that he is listening. He even says it while I am on the phone... just in case I was talking to him!

Sitting in the chair in the study he will be saying "eease" and pointing to the CD player... he wants to listen to his music!

He has also figured out that if I am not looking at him I can't see that he is signing therefore hear him. So he has started to say the word while he is signing so that I can hear him. I heard "ook eeease" repeated over and over the other day, I finally figured out that he was sitting in our rocking chair signing book please and I couldn't see him so he better say it out loud!

He now has 13 teeth!!

He also LOVES Sesame Street for some reason. Nana just got him a few books so they soon may be his favorites.

If we let him he would live off of Hummus and cottage cheese, both are his favorites ANY time of day!

When he wants up he holds his hands up and jumps.
